Sheryl & Michel's to Sue's in Foymount

Sheryl and Michel had the most beautiful flowers all over their property.

This was a long one. Wooded hills and stretches of highway. The poor reporter who came to interview us at 8am must have thought Jewel and I were the worse. We had woken up at 6, but were locked out of the house so couldn't pack our stuff up yet. When the reporter arrived at 8, we hadn't eaten our had our coffee (a necessity for me to be functional). Luckily Joseph was charming and we managed to answer the questions. We had a wonderul breakfast and Sheryl said she could drive our packs even thoguh she was headed to Toronto, she took the detour. Thank goodness she did!

It was nothing but hills and hills through the woods. The day is kind of a blur. This one really long hill stood out. It seemed to go on forever, adn then we went the equal distance down hill! We came out onto Lake Clear road. It was stunning, right on the lake with mountains beyond the lake on our right, and tiny cottages and motor homes on our left. Some people gave us donations and we cantered along the grass beside the water.

We hit another one of thos magic evenings. It was close to 8, the sun making eveyrhting glow but cooling down. Fields of wheat stretched out to mountians in the distance. Peacefull. It's like theres an horu there where everything is quiet. Before the night insects start up and after the day ones quiet. No cars. Just us and our horses and the setting sun.

We arrived to Sue's. Lux and Ora started trotting in excitement at the goats and donkey in the pasture. Jewel and I were bent over laughing. Our legs were so sore we could hardly hang on, and the laughnig just suspends any use of our leg muscles.

Sue was very kind, we got the horses settled in the huge field. With the sun setting and the purple flowers and our beautiful babies our grazing, we took a moment to watch them explore their home for the night. Thats one of my favourite parts of the day. Watching the horses intrigued and rolling in their temporary field.

Sue let us pick fresh veggies from her garden, and they tasted so amazing in the stir fry Joseph made. There was so much flavour! When Sue offered more than one room, I jumped on the opportunity to have my own room for the night. I love my sister, but it's nice to have some space. I passed out while the others stayed up for a bit.
