Last day at Uncle Brents, Wendy's Cottage, to a sleepover at Grit's.

Last morning of sleeping in and not having to go pet dirty horses right away. We had another nice breakfast with the Lambs and then drove to Wendy VanExan's Cottage for a lovely afternoon BBQ and swim!

This rest was exactly what I needed. I have been wanting to go home for a break but of course, can't. So this was as close to home as it came. Even though I've only been to my uncles house once or twice before, it was a place I HAD been. Every other house, town, store, was new. But now, finally, there was a place I knew with people I knew, and it was all so familiar. I definitely took familiarities for granted. I never knew the strain and effect it would have on me to always be somewhere new.

It was nice to meet family we haven't seen in ages but were so enthusiastic and interested in our trip. And to share their beautiful cottage with us!

It is always sad to say goodbye to family, but it already gets easier every time. It helps when the people we are staying with are so welcoming and happy. We kept busy for a while so that also helped.

Grits made us a wonderful dinner and we all sat around and told stories. Brian sang a song for us, he has the most bluesy, deep voice, it was beautiful.

Grits gave up her huge comfy bed for us, no matter how much we insisted any bed, even the floor, would due, she still let us have hers.
Comfort to end a busy, good, sad and happy day.

Brian also did some Body Work Massage on the horses after Grit's and Brian let me help do Join up with Lux. We love to always learn new things from experienced horse persons.
