It was a struggle to get out of bed this morning. But once I stepped outside I felt good and ready to start the day.
I fed the horses and checked if Oras bandages were still in place. They were.
Katie came out and we trotted Ora around to see if she was lame or not. She was definitely better than yesterday, but still was slightly off.
We both really wanted to get going. It can be hard to stay in one place and not move. Feels kind of purposeless and almost more tiring. But we also can't put our own emotions before the horses health.

Kathleen came over and talked to both Katie and I. She suggested it would be best to give Ora another day off just to make sure she was fully healed. Kathagyna agreed and so did we. I think we both knew staying was the right choice, we just for some reason kept going back to that routine of "have to keep going". Its hard to get out of that mentality. We always said we would take the day off when needed, and not worry about it, but somewhere along the line we felt this pressure. 11 days went by with no break. It couldn't be that way though. We would only push ourselves just to have to stop for a few weeks because we pushed the horses too far. Its not fair and doesn't work. And besides, these people are amazing and so is their farm. This couldn't be a better place to stay!

Stephanie, the Purina Rep who came that morning, called her vet to see if she could come check on Ora. She came and checked over her hoof, hock, and general health. She advised me to continue what I was doing and she should be good. Tanya also looked over Lux and he is also in good shape!

The rest of the day we napped, mapped and relaxed. We had dinner with our hosts and it was a great day overall!
