Camping Kelly & Sandra's Honey Farm in Saint Esprit to Les Pieds Sur Terre in Saint-Calixte

Jewel, Mom and I set out to a beautiful sunny day. This time Mom had Joseph's bike, and we road with Dad driving our packs so that we could go quicker.
The funny thing is, it felt like we went slower than the 30km we did the day before. We all had good chats, looking at the farms and houses as we passed.

The nice quiet farm roads turned into a busy road. A small two lane road, 80-90km/h speed limit. It was so windy and hilly, we were constantly trying to avoid blindspots for drivers. Mom brought up the rear, waving at traffic to slow down for us. They would see her, slow down, then immediately speed up, see us, then slam on the breaks. Eventually we got the hang of it, and were relieved to have mom there patrolling traffic. Although I was worried about her too. I saw people texting and driving, not even noticing any of us. Truck not moving over at all, people holler and honk at us. Just as we were turning off this busy road, it started to downpour! We found shelter under a tree, but were already soaked.
(Low pic quality - iPhone4 :( )

After it stopped, we headed back out. The hilly paved street was steaming after the rain, surrounded by trees on either side, it reminded me of the streets in Saint-Sauver and Ste-Anne-Des-Lacs. The rest of the ride was huge hills, and spontaneous rain that drenched us. Jewel and I both got off and walked to stay warm, as we hadn't dressed for the weather.

Mom was a trooper, riding the big bike up the hill in the cold rain in nothing but a tank top. She was in good spirits the whole way. And we were so happy to have her.

And heres one of Dori in the tent.. like, look at that pose!
