Day 50: Cookies To Celebrate - 15km

An easy peasy day, only 15km.

We took our time getting ready in the morning, slept in till 7.

Horses weren't happy about a late breakfast but their humans need a rest sometimes!

Joseph filmed a quick blurb for our Facebook then we headed out. Halfway down the driveway and Oras packs fall off. Not the way I wanted to start the day but it was the first and last time it happened that day so it was okay.

We stopped in at cafe to get some coffee and cookies. Chocolate and Peanut Butter.. the best! It was our little way of celebrating 50 days.

We met two bikers who are from Vancouver, but flew to Mont Tremblant and are riding to Quebec City. (I think.. I could be wrong!) Always fun and cool to meet fellow travellers!

We walked some more, listened to music, admired the scenery, admired our cute little ponies, talked and appreciated the short day.

Took a quick break by the water. Since we only have one bucket the horses have to share their food most of the time. Ora ends up getting more we think because she is a little goblin and inhales her food. Just like her mom! :) Where as Lux can be a big meany and bite Ora away, just like his mama!

We make it to the farm were staying at for the night. We always know its the right house because Joseph gets there first and we spot his bike. He explains the real owners aren't there, just a caretaker because the owners are away.

She shows us where the horses can stay and where we can pitch our tent. We set up under a big tree with extra tarps, because the forecast calls for rain.

Since we got in around 3, we had plenty of time to hangout with the horses, make some bracelets with string Joseph picked up for us earlier, and organize all the photos and videos from the past few days.

Katie and I made some rice stir fry for dinner and we got to wash our clothes. Once again, it was just the 3 of us which is always really nice. 50 days in and we still haven't killed each other yet, go team!
