From Kevin, Lucas & Joyce Harris to Sandi & Pete’s
(Frederection Junction to Rusagonis)

Kevin was so kind to offer to drive our stuff ahead to Rusagonis to give the horses a bit more of a break. Lux’s swelling had gone down a lot and he wasn’t limping at all. In fact, later in the previous day he was cantering and galloping around perfectly fine.. little faker. We went barefoot so the mud fever could breathe, and Ora bareback to help her saddle sores. We had to backtrack about 1km because google maps led us to a road completely over grown. Not too hours into the trip, the Damiani’s met up with us and made us roadside sandwiches and brought us coffee! It was exactly what we needed, though Lux was being restless and I wished I could have enjoyed their time with us a little more. We were on a dirt road the whole day, and went through some more lake-like puddles, up to the horses bellies.
We got to Sandi & Pete’s around 4:30. We played with the six kittens and four dogs, and Sandi even drove us to a tack shop that her friend opened late at night just for us, and bought a new gullet. We changed both the horses gullets size to relieve some pressure.

After a game of horse shoes, we met Denise and Stefan, a couple who does endurance riding and races. We learned a ton from them.
Off to bed and up for an early start tomorrow.
