Day 11: O'Neils - 0km

After 6 days of riding non stop, being able to wake up slow and not walk right away was both amazing, and super tiring. We found that the more we allow our bodies to relax and just spend time inside, the more we really start to feel fatigue.

Its a funny thing really. How our bodies can be pushed to such a limit, you don't even feel tired. I mean, we definitely felt the blisters that quickly crept up beneath our toes and on our heels, as well as the staggering shin splints and sun burnt skin, but through-out the long days, I myself felt generally wide awake.

The moment, however, Katie and I got in the loaned truck to do some errands, I could barely function I was so drained. Shortly after picking up some replacement supplies and food at the stores in Digby, I crashed and had a good 4 hour nap. Katie and Joseph on the other hand, managed to power through.

Joseph actually had to make a trip to the doctors to make sure a strange looking bug bite was nothing serious (its not). While Katie got a tour of the farm we're staying at. 1 week old baby goats and a turkey being hatched was something I unfortunately missed seeing. But I heard they we're cute!

That night with the O'Neils (our 2nd sleep there), we, but mainly Joseph, cooked dinner. We thought it was the least we could do since Tom and Angela welcomed us to their home for 3 days. We had some good chats, finished up some social media things then we're off to bed. The horses seemed more than content in their spacious but cozy arena.

Got some nice shots of our hard working ponies who we appreciate every day.
