Finally, we get this website up and going. Heres to our first of many blog posts! Hooray!

First, we would like to thank everyone who has helped us so far by either donating, sharing our Facebook posts, sending positive messages, giving us tips, volunteering at our fundraiser and coming out to our fundraiser to show your support. We are still so overwhelmed by everyones generosity and willingness to help out. So thank you!

Secondly, we have been getting asked many questions about the logistics of our trip. We are always happy to answer the best we can, but we are finding ourselves often without an in-depth answer. The fundraiser took up a lot of our time, as well as we both have jobs and animals to tend to. So our planning for the trip came to halt. However, we are now starting to do our research and will be purchasing equipment soon, as well as planning the route we will be taking and figuring out the on going question of shoeing the horses or not. In the meantime, we are happy to take any suggestions about what to bring, what not to bring, bear safety, good brands of gear, etc.

As we do begin to plan, and prepare the horses, we are getting more and more excited to be out there actually doing it, rather than just talking about it. Which leads me to my next point. I believe our departure date will be some time in the middle of April. But we will keep you posted on when we have a set date.

Well, theres our first post! Not sure when we will be writing another one, but if you want to stay updated (even though theres not much going on besides us planning), you can go on our Facebook page; https://www.facebook.com/KecingCanada/

Until next time,

K&J
